Why Rey Kenobi would've been a better storyline

We all know most people rooted for her to be a Kenobi and it definitely would've made the Rise of Skywalker much better.

"Remember my dear Obi-Wan, I have always loved you!"

Didn't you want to see Rey Kenobi? That might've been what it took to save the Sequels.

Rey Kenobi

The first 2 movies all had us believing she was a Kenobi. From the accent, the parallels, the complementing attire. Most everything. The Clone Wars showed us Obi-Wan did love the Duchess of Mandalore. They also showed us Satine's nephew (hmmmm....) AKA Rey's real dad.

Let's point out a flaw in Rey "Palpatine". Ben Solo is Anakin's grandson. and Anakin was around 25 when Luke and Leia were born. Ben is presumed to be a few years older then Rey. However, Palpatine is around 65 in Episode III. Palpatine being 40 years older shouldn't have a granddaughter the same age of his grandson. If Rey was really his granddaughter, she'd be about the same age as Luke and Leia maybe older. She'd have to be his great-granddaughter at least for the story to make sense.

Anyways, if Rey was a Kenobi whether it be by granddaughter or something. It would have complemented it beautifully. The fight scene with the water could have contrasted with Mustufar. When Rey was handing Luke his lightsaber, it would be like a New Hope when Obi-Wan gave it to her. And Kenobi trains Skywalker (Anakin, not including Luke right now) Skywalker (Luke) trains Kenobi (Rey). Almost as if Luke was returning the favor of his training he got. And, I know it's not really Obi-Wan's fault but he thinks it is, by letting a Skywalker go to the darkside, it would have been nice to see another Kenobi bring another Skywalker to the light. Don't you think?

I know you may be thinking, "Obi-Wan wouldn't have had a child, it's against the Code!" BUT we do know he loved Satine. And remember that nephew? That could've been Satine hiding the fact that's her child. And he would've been Rey's dad. She didn't even have to be a granddaughter, she could've been a grandniece if Obi-Wan had a sibling, but I digress.

And now getting on to how it would have saved the Sequels. Well, maybe not save but AT LEAST made them better. It would've helped because everyone loved the bond between the Kenobis and Skywalkers as it has been showed in both trilogies. We wanted more of that! It would have made more sense, be more realistic, and bettered them if they chose the Kenobi route. Plus, they didn't really answer the question of who Palpatine had a child with but It's their own fault for that.

Anyways, I hope you share the same feelings for a Rey Kenobi!
